Geography Of Spain Spain is located in the South West region of Europe, boarding the Bay of Biscay, Mediterranean Sea, North Atlantic Ocean, and Pyrenees Mountains, South West of France. It is considered as the third largest country in Europe. It has an area of 50482 sq. km and has a population of 45 million citizens. The countries neighbouring Spain are Portugal, France, Morocco, Andorra and Gibraltar. Spain shares a boarder with Portugal and France and Morocco and Algeria are on the other side of the Mediterranean Sea. The main influence of my country is Great Britain. Spain owns a few small, maybe unheard countries, in north morocco including Ceuta, Melilla and the islands of Penon de Velez de la Gomera, Penon De Alhucemas and Islas Chafarinas.
All These countries and neighbours help with trade, imports and exports as they all bring in money towards this nation and they all help each other to stay globalized and not lack the strength of globalization in the world.
The land use of Spain is, Arable Land: 27.18%, Permanent Crops: 9.85%, and other: 62.97%. There are a few natural hazards which are periodic droughts. Some current environmental issues pollution of the Mediterranean Sea from raw sewage and effluents from the production of oil and gas, water quality and quantity nationwide, air pollution, deforestation and desertification. International Environment party to: Air pollution, Air Pollution-Nitrogen Oxides, Air Pollution-Sulphur 94 and Air Pollution-Volatile Organic Compounds. These organizations help with the environmental issues to help improve the community become a better and cleaner place.
Natural resources from Spain that have been imported and exported are, coal, lignite, iron ore, lead, copper, zinc, uranium, tungsten, mercury, pyrites, magnesite, fluorspar, gypsum, sepiolite, kaolin, potash, hydropower, arable land. All of these natural resources have an advantage towards the country because if another country who needs it for business, but doesn't have it, will import it from a nation who does, such as Spain, and therefore cause a rise in income and profits for the government. This way of trading from natural resources will help the country when they are in desperate need of money, when they go into a recession for example and it is an easy way to help and to encourage the government with public health, education and facilities.
